Color matching

All new colors are developed in our color lab. Each recipe is developed from our own Ultrabatches. This ensures that the recipe can be easily scaled up for production. Both when producing from Ultrabatch and from pigment.

Most colors are matched on a rolling mill, while a smaller proportion is matched using an extruder and injection molder/foil blower. When matching, a color chip/foil is produced from the material provided by the customer. The material is analyzed according to pigment content and relevant ingredients and is typically matched according to sample unless otherwise stated. Most color indices for use in thermoplastic materials are represented by our Ultrabatches, allowing us to match most shades. All matches are compared visually and with a color spectrophotometer.

As a customer of Kunststof-Kemi, you have the opportunity to have specific color matches made. Matches are only made by prior arrangement and may incur a fee.
